GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Information for Parents/Carers
On 25th May 2018, new regulations were introduced affecting how our School handles people’s data. This is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Compliance with the regulations is an ongoing process and the School have appointed a data protection officer to advise and manage compliance with the regulation. Full details of our data protection officer can be found below, should you have any questions.
We have policies, procedures and notices that are compliant with the new regulations and we will update you of any changes. Please be assured, your child’s data will be handled in accordance with legal principles.
We will regularly ask you to check the personal data we hold on record for your child, including your emergency contact details, however these can be updated by you at any time - please just let us know.
To help ensure we meet GDPR compliance, our Privacy Notice for Pupils and their Families has been updated; a copy is available below. We ask that it be signed by at least one parent – you will be provided with a copy. Please sign and return ASAP to help us meet our compliance requirements. Thank you.
